MegaPath's Dan Foster

Who says you can’t go home again?

Dan Foster has rejoined MegaPath as its president of business markets, after leaving the company in February 2015 when it sold its managed services division.

Foster will be responsible for the strategic direction and management of MegaPath’s North American direct and indirect sales and marketing organization, and will drive the company’s product innovation and growth initiatives.

Foster tells Channel Partners that there were several factors that led to his decision to rejoin MegaPath. Prior to rejoining the company, he was the chief revenue officer at Tuul, a startup that built a product for mobile messaging workflow.

“One of the key factors was the position the business is now in to reinvest in the cloud business due to the divestiture of the legacy access business,” he said. “We are now laser focused on delivering next-gen cloud services and supporting partners as they sell into this emerging cloud space.”{ad}

The appointment comes one week after MegaPath launched its new UC service, MegaPath One, with integrated enterprise-class collaboration for businesses of all sizes. Foster will oversee all go-to-market activities for MegaPath One and all other business services, and will ensure complete alignment of resources for partners and customers.

One of MegaPath’s biggest challenges is helping partners understand who the company is today post-divestitures, Foster said.

“We need to educate more partners about the significant progress we’ve made operationally, as well as our compelling new cloud-based service offerings including MegaPath One, our new UC solution, and our next-gen wireless and WAN technologies,” he said. “My focus will be on getting our story out to the channel.”

Foster said he plans to personally engage with MegaPath’s top partners to ensure that they “realize the value of MegaPath’s offerings and work collaboratively to maximize growth for all parties.”

“I am excited to welcome Dan Foster back to MegaPath in this new sales and marketing leadership role,” said Craig Young, MegaPath’s chairman. “Dan is well respected at our company, in the industry and by our partners. He brings to MegaPath an in-depth knowledge of our business, extensive experience in the cloud and telecom space, proven sales success and key relationships that will better position the company to capitalize on the rapidly growing cloud services market.”
