TeamViewer, a provider of remote control and online meeting software, has appointed former NetApp executive Konstantin Ebert as its director of global channels.
In his new role, Ebert will be responsible for establishing and building TeamViewer’s channel, as well as devising different business models. He joins TeamViewer with 15 years of sales experience in companies such as T-Systems, Fujitsu and NetApp.
Most recently, Ebert was NetApp’s senior director of Middle East, Eastern Europe and Turkey, Africa and Russia and CIS.
“In the past, our global engagement with channel partners was opportunistic at best,” Ebert said. “We are changing this into a much more proactive and integrated model as we strongly believe in the values channel partners are adding to our efforts. This is a global approach, and besides building an attractive program for channel partners, we will also join forces with partners to develop market segments as well as markets themselves.”{ad}
TeamViewer is looking for partners to use its technology in their own service delivery, as well as integrating TeamViewer in their customer environments, he said.
“Furthermore, we start investing with our partners in solutions of the future around IoT scenarios,” Ebert said. “Increasing our engagement with channel partners is a strategic decision for TeamViewer and we are investing in this on a global scale. I can only encourage interested partners to reach out to us and evaluate a potential partnering with us.”
TeamViewer is available in more than 30 languages, with more than 200 million users globally.
TeamViewer also appointed Kay Niederfahrenhorst as its director of enterprise accounts, EMEA. Since joining the company at the beginning of this year, she has been driving the key account management and enterprise level accounts business in the EMEA region.
Niederfahrenhorst previously was sales director at NetApp.
