MegaPath Taps Vonage, Integra Vet for Partner Sales

MegaPath has brought on a former Vonage channel executive to lead partner sales in the Southwest.

He said Thursday that the cloud services provider has a strong value proposition and a strong commitment to its partners.

“MegaPath offers an impressive portfolio of business voice and cloud services combined with one of the largest broadband footprints in the country,” he said. “The combination really sets MegaPath apart in the industry and I look forward to working with our partners to win more business.”

Slipakoff spent the previous two years working as a channel executive for Vonage. His career includes stints with WiLine Networks, Worldwide Telecom Concepts and Integra.

He will report to Rob McCarthy, MegaPath’s vice president of channel sales. McCarthy also has a background with Vonage.

“Bram’s channel relationships and industry expertise will be a driving force in growing our channel relationships and bringing additional value to our partner community,” McCarthy said. “He brings a wealth of channel experience that will enable him to have an immediate impact on driving sales growth.”{ad}

McCarthy joined MegaPath as its channel leader last year. He told Channel Partners in a Q&A that had a goal of educating the company’s partners on “who the new MegaPath is, and what we truly bring to the table for our partners today.”

MegaPath sold its managed-services business to GTT Communications in a $152 million deal last year, stating that its goal was to focus more on being a cloud services provider.
