PRESS RELEASE — SANTA CLARA, Calif., Nov. 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — WhiteHat Security, the Web security company, today announced two new appointments — Dev Kurbur as Chief Customer Success Officer and Shivajee Samdarshi as Senior Vice President of Engineering. The addition of these two industry veterans to the WhiteHat Security executive team comes at a time of record growth for the company, and increasing demand for application security solutions.
Chief Customer Success Officer Dev Kurbur brings 25 years of experience in leading customer success organizations in the communications, networking, and computer security industries. Prior to joining WhiteHat Security, Kurbur was the Vice President of Customer Support at MegaPath, where he served more than 11,000 customers from five support centers around the world. Kurbur also led the Technical Services organization at ShoreTel, spearheading implementation services, technical support, technical account management, vendor management, new product introduction and strategic cross-functional initiatives. He also served in senior leadership roles at Juniper Networks, NetScreen Technologies, Foundry Networks, Lucent Technologies and Octel Communications.
Shivajee Samdarshi will be responsible for the development and innovation of WhiteHat Security products in his new role as Senior Vice President of Engineering. Samdarshi previously worked as Vice President of Engineering at TIBCO Software, where he most recently led the Operational Intelligence product group. During his many years of experience at TIBCO, he had responsibility for building and leading some of its most critical and strategic products, including several generations of its messaging products, its SOA Platform, and most recently the Cloud infrastructure for the TIBCO Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering.
