Brocade has hired Tech Data’s Pete Peterson as its new vice president of worldwide channel sales.
In his new role, Peterson will manage Brocade’s go-to-market ecosystem of channel and distribution partners. He has more than 30 years of sales and leadership experience, including 20 years working in various senior management positions at Tech Data.
Most recently, Peterson was Tech Data’s senior vice president of global business development, where he was responsible for new vendor partner acquisitions and diversification opportunities at Tech Data.

Within the storage area network (SAN) market, Brocade’s competitors include Cisco and QLogic. Within the Ethernet market, Brocade competes with Arista Networks, Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco, Dell, Extreme Networks, F5 Networks, HP, Huawei Technologies and Juniper Networks.
