Cheyenne, Wyoming-based Green House Data has hired Brian Parsons as its first-ever director of channel programs.

Green House Data's Brian ParsonsParsons comes to the cloud hosting, colocation and IT services provider from Cologix, where he was an account director. Before that, he spent five years as an account manager at tw telecom prior to its acquisition by Level 3. He also has a year at Sprint under his belt.

“Brian’s many years of account management experience will help Green House Data implement a top-tier channel program and encourage revenue growth for both the company and our channel partners,” said CEO Shawn Mills. “His experience in the telecommunications industry and knowledge of cloud hosting and IT services make him the ideal candidate to oversee our newly implemented channel sales program.”

Parsons’ hiring became necessary in part due to the company’s rapid expansion. Green House recently built a new facility in Orangeburg, New York, and has doubled its number of employees over the past year and a half. Six months ago, the company announced the acquisition of FiberCloud, a Seattle-based infrastructure provider, adding three data centers and more hosted products to its portfolio.

In his new role, Parsons will be tasked with growing Green House Data’s services throughout the nation, overseeing channel vendors.

“I look forward to bringing a premier portfolio of cloud hosting and colocation options to channel partners across the country,” said Parsons.

Green Data offers a trio of cloud partner programs (white label, reseller and agent) that it promises will deliver “excellent margins.” Partners can sell enterprise-class VMware cloud hosting that the company says can be custom-engineered for unique business needs, with support for everything from application platforms to disaster-recovery services.
