CLOUD PARTNERS — Sprint (Booth 1032 and an Elite Sponsor), which is making its first appearance at Cloud Partners, on Wednesday unveiled Workplace as a Service.
The new service aims to put all of the technology needed to run a business in one bundle. It’s offered on a per-user, per month basis, and is part of the newly relaunched Sprint Partner Program.
The carrier designs and manages the core communication and productivity tools in the Workplace as a Service. It provides site-by-site integration and implementation, and includes service-level agreements and a single source for support.
Among the wireless and wireline elements in Workplace-as-a-Service are WAN connectivity; enterprise-grade managed Wi-Fi; enterprise-grad voice; local and domestic long-distance voice; audio and video conferencing; online collaboration; instant messaging and presence; mobile-device management across all carriers, including BYOD support; and optional Sprint wireless plans for smartphones and tablets.
“We believe our Workplace-as-a-Service offering will become the new standard for how communications and connectivity solutions are provided and purchased,” said Mike Fitz, vice president of business solutions commercialization – Sprint Business. “We see it as a platform for our customers to expand to other services.”
