“Digital business transformation is creating new opportunities and new risks across every industry. Applications are the fuel of this digital business transformation,” said Raghu Raghuram, executive vice president and general manager of VMware’s Software-Defined Data Center Division.

VMware updated its public cloud offering, vCloud Air, with new or expanded products that include object storage, SQL and disaster recovery. The Palo Alto-based company also updated its software-defined data center with disaster recovery, analytics and other products.
