Partners should expect a simplified and shortened sales cycle now that Ingram Micro has enhanced and expanded its Federal Advantage Program. It comes at a time when the federal buying season is ramping up.
“Our new Federal Advantage Program offers the resources, solutions and support channel partners need to meet the business requirements of the federal market and deliver an exceptional experience,” said Anthony Vottima, executive director, Ingram Micro Vertical Markets.
Adding some beef to the announcement is news that Dell has signed on as an authorized partner with the distribution giant for federal business. Ingram Micro says the partnership builds on its position as Dell’s distributor of the year two years in a row.
“Adding the Dell Federal business is a timely and strategic win that builds on our value by expanding the choice and flexibility channel partners gain by working with Ingram Micro,” Vottima added.
To support this new business with Dell, Ingram Micro has a dedicated team of more than 30 sales, marketing, and engineering specialists focused on federal sales involving the two companies. Mutual Dell channel partners also get access to Ingram Micro’s program managers whose goal is to remove complexity from the sales process and help channel partners grow. The Ingram Micro Solution Center, Configuration Center and Professional Services and Training Academy are also available.
“Expanding our relationship with Ingram Micro to include the federal market further enables our mutual channel partners to take advantage of the busy buying season,” said Frank Vitagliano, vice president of global partner strategy and programs, Dell. “Ingram Micro is a strategic Dell Global Business partner with a reputation for excellence in business enablement and execution, and we look forward to replicating our success in the federal market.”
Ingram Micro’s Federal Advantage Program is new – established earlier this year. Partners in the program get access to:
Ingram Micro’s Federal portfolio consists of cloud, data center, networking and security services, as well as systems and peripherals, which now includes Dell’s portfolio. An around-the clock channel-partner hotline for after-hours requests, escalations and support also is available during the federal buying season.
