Intelisys Moves Partner Sales VP Into New Role

Tech-services distributor Intelisys is moving Mike McKenney into the brand-new position of vice president, Supplier Sales.

The company says it created the role in order to extend its brand recognition across all of its partnerships – supplier partners and sales partners alike.

Working closely with the other members of the company’s leadership team, McKenney will be tasked with creating original revenue-driving programs for new and existing Intelisys suppliers.

“Our supplier partners are seeking even greater sales success with Intelisys, and we have invested in this new Supplier Sales practice to develop new and targeted ways to exceed their expectations,” said Dana Topping, co-owner of Intelisys. “This role was developed to bring new increased value to our sales partners through creative programs not yet seen in the channel.”

McKenney, an 11-year Intelisys veteran, started with the master agent as SWAT sales manager, and, later, director of partner sales. In 2009, he was promoted to vice president, Partner Sales and Business Development for the company’s West region. Before joining Intelisys, McKenney was Intelisys’ channel manager at Cable & Wireless.

McKenney’s replacement is yet to be named.
