Aryaka, the WAN-as-a-service company that just launched a domestic channel program in May, has named Jim Hilbert its new senior vice president of global sales.
Hilbert comes to Aryaka with 30 years of sales, strategy and execution experience. Most recently he was a senior vice president with Firehost, a cloud-hosting company. His other jobs have been leadership roles at IBM, EMC and Rackspace.
With his extensive background in cloud computing, and particularly software as a service, Aryaka will rely on Hilbert accelerate the company’s expansion into Asia Pacific and EMEA, while continuing to build on growth in the Americas.
“Jim Hilbert has been building successful, goal-oriented sales teams for more than 30 years,” said Ram Gupta, executive chairman of Aryaka. “His extensive experience in the cloud computing market will be invaluable during this next stage of growth for Aryaka.”
Aryaka recently secured $16 million in additional funding to scale its sales infrastructure.
The company, which provides a family of WAN, CDN and Application Acceleration as a Service offerings, debuted its U.S. channel program earlier this year and signed master agents Intelisys and Bridgepointe Technologies as its first partners.
