MICROSOFT WORLDWIDE PARTNER CONFERENCE The cloud is taking center stage on the first full day at this annual Microsoft event, and distribution giant Ingram Micro is among those with updates designed to demonstrate “its commitment to channel success.”
Among Ingram’s announcements is the expansion of its Cloud Marketplace. The company now has launched 13 new Cloud Marketplaces worldwide since June of last year. Ingram Micro provides support for English, French, German, Italian and Spanish, as well as support for eight of the world’s largest currencies, including the British pound; U.S., Canadian and Australian dollars; the Euro; and the Mexican peso.
The Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace now services more than 3,500 channel partners and includes 15 major vendors and 60 cloud services. It features Microsoft Office 365, offered through the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program. Backed by a suite of migration and customer services, the Marketplace lets partner bundles their own cloud services and consolidate invoicing.
New to the Marketplace is an enhancement that enables channel partners to quickly and seamlessly convert Office 365 Advisor subscriptions to the CSP program. This capability now is available in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Worldwide availability is coming soon, the company said.

Ingram Micro also announced the availability of the Cloud Store, a feature which enables select channel partners to create and manage a B2C online cloud store, with their own brand and delivered as an extension of their existing website.
At this week’s Microsoft event, Ingram is doing live demos of CSP on the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace and the opportunity to experience a race-car simulator. Global, multilingual cloud specialists will also be available to enroll channel partners and MSPs into Cloud Elevate, the company’s loyalty program that enables channel partners to accelerate their cloud sales and profitability.
