Dee Dee Lear has made the move from Arrow Electronics to Avnet Technology Solutions.
Lear takes on the role of senior vice president of emerging channels for the Americas. She is responsible for strategy, expansion and growth of the distribution giant’s channel program, which includes system integrators, independent software vendors, original equipment manufacturers and various types of service providers. In addition to North America, Lear’s duties will include channel growth in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Lear was at Arrow for four years, where she held the title of vice president, cloud and business development. She handled new customer and supplier acquisition, customer expansion and more. Before being acquired by Arrow in 2007, Lear was director of sales at Agilysys.
“With a proven track record, Dee will lead the charge in pursuing opportunities in emerging channels and markets for profitable growth for Avnet Technology Solutions, which will contribute to the overall success of Avnet, our partners and our suppliers,” said Jeff Bawol, president, Avnet Technology Solutions.. “She has clearly demonstrated a commitment to achieving and surpassing goals in high-visibility and critical channel-related positions, driving market share growth and profitability.”
Lear is active in the technology community, most notably as president of Women in Channels (WiC), an industry-related, nonprofit board.
