Arkadin rolled out the newest feature of its unified communications (UC) ecosystem, which the company’s executives say will improve flexibility for call-center agents.
The UCaaS provider announced that the Clarity Connect contact center will complement Arkadin’s Total Connect service platform. Clarity Consulting, Clarity Connect’s creator, bills the native contact as the first of its kind made entirely for Skype for Business.
“This will be especially attractive to contact centers who were previously cut off from an integrated UC solution due to fears over complexity and cost,” said Steve Schwartz, Arkadin’s vice president of UC architecture and technology.
Total Connect launched last year as a cloud-based solution for email, shared workspace, conferencing and various forms of telephony. The service used Microsoft Lync, which was revamped for 2015 as Skype for Business.
“The combination of Arkadin’s hosted UC services and Clarity Connect is a compelling value proposition with the potential to redefine the way the small to midmarket contact centers operate,” said Craig Reishus, Clarity Consulting’s director of business development. “Call centers can easily decentralize operations since agents can work from anywhere and still access Arkadin’s UC platform, resulting in greater opportunities to manage and grow their networks.”
Other aspects of Total Connect’s update include new telephony and analytics features.
