RealVNC Intros Channel Program for Remote Access Software

RealVNC has unveiled support strategies designed to help partners in the U.S. and the U.K. better explain and sell the firm’s remote-access software.

In debuting a new channel program this week, the British company rolled out a number of resources for resellers and distributors, in addition to gold and silver certifications.

“As IT is such a busy industry, we are determined to provide our channel partners with as much assistance as possible … ” said Adam Byrne, RealVNC’s strategic alliances vice president.

The channel program will give gold partners benefits that include product licensing, marketing funding and higher discounts. Registering, training and meeting other targets will determine eligibility. Additionally, “in-depth training will be available to all partners.”

All of this, RealVNC says, is to integrate software into other businesses’ systems and to strengthen sales.

The British company bills itself as the creator of the first remote-access software. As a Telegraph profile explained, RealVNC’s technology is now used in 2 billion mobile devices and desktop computers. Andy Harter founded RealVNC in 2002.

“We’ve been selling VNC through the channel for years and now want to provide even more help for our channel partners growing their VNC sales,” Byrne said. “In return, we’ll provide them with expertise, tiered margins, incentives and marketing assistance.”
