CenturyLink Cloud, the telco giant’s public cloud platform, is now available through Avnet’s U.S. and Canada VAR partners via Avnet Cloud Solutions. The addition aims to strengthen partners’ ability to deliver cloud IT services that “help customers enhance business agility and improve time to market,” said Tim FitzGerald, vice president of Avnet Cloud Solutions.
Partners will have access to the Avnet Cloud Toolset (ATC) to help them manage, govern, consolidate and track their customers’ cloud accounts across multiple cloud providers. ATC features cloud-usage tracking and consumption-based invoicing for workloads running on CenturyLink Cloud, coupled with subscription-based workloads.
Avnet also will help its CenturyLink Cloud VAR partners streamline the onboarding process and provide support for building recurring-revenue streams; in addition, they can become members of the CenturyLink Cloud Reseller Program, which provides technical resourcing, account provisioning support and monthly reports.
Further, Avnet partners will own customer billing and relationships, and have the option to do so under their respective brands with the CenturyLink reseller program.
“We look forward to helping Avnet’s partners use CenturyLink Cloud to support their customers in reducing their total cost of ownership for cloud solutions while enjoying enterprise-class cloud security, performance, automation and orchestration features,” said Blake Wetzel, vice president of CenturyLink Channel Alliance.
Also this week, Synnex has signed a distribution agreement with Spectrum Business, Charter Communications’ recently rebranded commercial business division, to offer its high-speed, cable-based Internet and voice services to resellers and telecom agents buying through the IT channel.
With the addition, Synnex continues to expand the reach of its MOBILITYSolv group, which provides end-to-end mobility and connectivity services to help partners offer customers services that increase employee productivity.
Resellers and telecom agents will work with Synnex’s business cable sales team and will have access to additional offerings through Synnex that complement basic cable products and support the transition to third-platform initiatives around mobile computing, cloud services, big data and analytics, and social networking, he said.
“Synnex’s deep market reach and expertise in combating today’s most significant technology challenges makes them an ideal distributor to offer our business solutions to the IT channel,” Michael Fair, Spectrum Business’ vice president of channel sales and national accounts.
