CHANNEL PARTNERS — It’s no exaggeration: “The Big Show” at the Spring 2015 Channel Partners Conference & Expo in Las Vegas hit its intended target, becoming the largest event yet in terms of attendance, exhibitors, sponsors and ideas.
The final tally? Just more than 4,600 people (4,640, in fact) converged on Mandalay Bay March 16-18, up from 4,304 last year. That was thanks in part to an approximately 20 percent increase in new exhibitors.
Exhibitors and attendees all came for the same reasons – to network; to see the latest business technology products and services; to vet new suppliers; to take part in keynotes and sessions focused on end-user challenges, cloud, mobility and IoT; and, of course, to enjoy the Vegas nightlife.
In between all of that activity, attendees also joined VIP sessions and awards programs. The third-annual Channel Partners 360° Business Value Awards kicked off Monday night’s festivities, honoring 50 of the most forward-thinking partners in the channel. And, on Tuesday, Channel Partners lauded top channel leaders at its second-annual Circle of Excellence dinner.
Informal conversations with exhibitors and attendees all resulted in the same takeaway: That the “Big Show”-themed Channel Partners hit the mark, bringing together innovative telecom and IT companies and partners intent on making the most of the changes brought about by convergence, cloud, mobility, budget shifts and outsourcing.
