CHANNEL PARTNERS — Equinix Inc. (Booth 933) has formed its global channel program, designed for partners including MSPs, systems integrators and solution providers.
The interconnection and data center provider said the initiative spans the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific. As such, partners may either partake on a resale or referral basis when selling cloud and IT platforms to their enterprise customers. Program participants already include Avant Communications, Carpathia, Datalink, Datapipe, Dimension Data and Unitas Global.
Equinix also has teamed with cloud service providers including AWS, Cisco, Google Cloud Platform, IBM SoftLayer, Microsoft Azure and NetApp. With those partnerships and Equinix’s footprint, partners will be able to offer a range of services – including public and private cloud and traditional IT environments – throughout the world, the company said.
Equinix partners may take advantage of the company’s Cloud Exchange interconnection capability, which offers direct access to multiple clouds and networks from one port. They also may implement the so-called Performance Hub, which distributes data center infrastructure across multiple locations, and create a new recurring revenue stream accordingly.
“This program represents one of the top strategic initiatives for Equinix,” said Pete Hayes, CSO of Equinix. “We have made significant investments to ensure our partners are set up for success.”
