Salesforce is rolling out changes to its channel program designed to give its consulting partners more support.
They include resources, training and tools that help partners develop expertise around specific business functions, products and various industries to better serve their customers and differentiate themselves from their competition.
Enhancements include a monthly Webinar series; demand-generation marketing kits; partner sales aid; an updated and improved Partner Community site; and more.
The updated Salesforce Partner Program features tiered pricing at platinum, gold, silver and registered levels. Where a partner lands depends on their Partner Value Score (PVS), determined by the total contribution made to Salesforce’s business across three categories: ACV, Expertise and Customer Success. Partners will be evaluated across a range of attributes associated with the categories, including total account value, account growth, certifications, specializations, customer satisfaction and more.
A partner’s PVS will be evaluated once a year or once every 18 months, depending on start date, based on country-specific targets. More detail on those can be found in this Salesforce blog.
Partner program fees start at $1,000 per year at the Registered level in mature markets. They start at $750 per year in emerging markets or for Foundation Partners.
The company expects the program changes not only will increase partner support, but will help customers decide which partner business is the best fit for their needs.
