WOW! Business continues to make a splash in the channel.
The Denver-based regional cable operator – whose business division specializes in cloud and communications within the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and the Southeast – has signed Intelisys as its latest channel partner.
WOW! started forming its channel less than a year ago with the hiring of former Integra and tw telecom channel exec, Ken Worcester. Since then, it has signed TBI, CNSG and Telegration; expanded its territory; and released hosted VoIP.
Now, Intelisys has joined WOW!’s growing list of partners. Rick Ribas, vice president of partner sales and business development for Intelisys, said the choice was not made lightly.
“We have a rigorous vetting process for inviting potential new supplier partners to the Intelisys family and WOW! Business passed the Intelisys test.”
To that end, Intelisys partners now may sell the WOW! Business line of IP-based network, data, voice and cloud services to SMBs, enterprises, government and wholesale buyers. WOW! Business owns and operates more than 40,000 miles of local fiber-optic and coaxial networks.
The WOW!-Intelisys agreement comes as cable providers make more strides among business users. In general, cable tends to be offer faster, lower-latency connectivity than telcos, even though its reach usually is more limited. Intelisys, for its part, has made calculated efforts over the past few years to fold cloud services into its network portfolio, attracting more IT-centric VARs and MSPs to complement its telecom agent base.
Security and UCaaS and SD-WAN, the triple-headed monster, dominated the news last week. https://t.co/Yoq7yrjhkf
