Sungard AS Honors AT&T, Partners for Channel Growth

Sungard Availability Services is honoring a handful of service-provider and channel partners for helping to grow its channel-program revenue by 30 percent since 2013.

Sungard honored its top partners and announced some channel-program improvements.Allstream, the voice, IP and Internet provider, is Sungard’s Canadian partner of the year. AT&T landed the top spot among U.S. service providers. Presidio got the nod as Sungard’s U.S. solution provider of the year. The three companies were recognized for overall partnership engagement and sales performance.

Breakout partners of the year were honored for excellence in execution in working with Sungard AS:

  • U.S. Breakout Application Integrator of the Year: DAZ Systems
  • Canadian Breakout Partner of the Year: Illumiti
  • U.S. Breakout Partner of the Year: Sigma Technology Solutions 

“Partners tell us that our ability to orchestrate the relationships between Sungard AS, our technology alliances and our shared channel partners is an innovative way to leverage these mutual synergies to create business opportunities,” said Carmen Sorice, senior VP of channels at Sungard AS. 

Sungard plans improvements to its channel program, including an increase in the number of channel-focused “solutions engineers,” new quoting tools for partners to use with customers, and simpler service bundles designed for resale in the channel.
