AppSense is out with new versions of its DesktopNow product that support virtual desktops, physical desktops and midmarket businesses.

New are the DesktopNow Virtual Edition, PC Edition and UEM (User Environment Management) Essentials.

Key benefits of the DesktopNow Virtual Edition include faster logons; application and desktop optimization; and increased IT efficiency. Businesses that adopt the PC edition get fast PC recovery and replacement, improved endpoint security and better IT efficiency, AppSense said.

AppSense UEM Essentials helps midmarket businesses solve the most common issues in deploying virtual desktops. UEM Essentials extends beyond simple profile management to give IT more control and provide better customer ROI. These capabilities allow IT teams to reduce costs, improve control, and deliver an excellent desktop experience to users that is affordable as the business grows.

The goal of the entire expanded product portfolio is to offer simplified infrastructure, deployment options and lower prices to help businesses of all types deliver a great user experience and have a single control plane across all desktop environments.

AppSense says the new versions of DesktopNow provide a nice opportunity for the company’s VARs.

“The customers we work with always see the value that AppSense can bring across their desktop environment, but they sometimes prefer to start with a more focused investment,” said Ira Silverman, CEO of Gotham Technology Group, an AppSense Platinum partner. “UEM Essentials and the other AppSense products allow us to offer the right solution for the right use case, at a competitive, affordable price for both large enterprises and small businesses.”
