A new agreement between IT giants HP and Microsoft means the companies will offer Office 365 and HP service delivery as one enterprise solution.
HP Enterprise Services for Office 365 includes features such as comprehensive service accountability, managed service solutions, tightly integrated support processes and expanded data-center location options.
“HP enterprise clients are seeking to create a collaborative and flexible workplace using comprehensive end-to-end solutions that address their complex IT environments,” said Mike Nefkens, executive vice president, HP Enterprise Services. “Teaming up with Microsoft will allow HP to offer our industry leading enterprise services with Microsoft’s widely adopted Office 365 suite, starting with Exchange Online running on HP servers in HP data centers.”
HP says this is a complete enterprise solution, from the initial advisory engagement, through transformation, to ongoing management, analysis, reporting and user support. HP and Microsoft teams will work closely together to deliver it for enterprise clients.
The Microsoft partnership was just one of a handful of announcements from HP on the first day of its three-day Discover 2014 event this week in Barcelona. The Silicon Valley giant also unveiled Haven OnDemand, which gives businesses of all sizes cloud-based access to key components of the HP analytics platform.
Also new is a set of enterprise products and services that HP claims will enable customers to transform their operations across the data center to enable growth, improve profit and increase agility. They include new servers; flexible storage; a software-defined, converged infrastructure portfolio; and expanded consulting and support services designed to help customers support advanced cloud and software-defined infrastructure environments.
