Lightpath, the New York-based Ethernet and managed cloud services provider, has promoted Joe Flynn to senior vice president of sales.
Flynn will be responsible for leadership and management of all company sales functions.
“As telecom needs grow in complexity and demand for managed services surges, it is critical for our organization to get right to the heart of exactly what customers need to be successful today and in the future,” said Dave Pistacchio, president, Lightpath. “Joe has been instrumental in evangelizing for the entire sales organization the importance of understanding each customer’s story in order to best meet their changing needs. His deep experience serving Lightpath customers, continued success leading our sales teams and passion for connecting with customers makes him the ideal fit to drive our ongoing sales activity.”
Flynn has been with Lightpath for 13 years. He started as an account manager, serving health-care customers. He became director of sales for government, education and health care in 2007, and was later promoted to director of sales for Long Island. Before his promotion to senior vice president, he was regional vice president of sales for Long Island, Westchester and New Jersey.
“It is an exciting time for Lightpath as the company continues to expand its lineup of managed services to solve the latest challenges that business throughout the New York metro area face,” said Flynn. “I’m thrilled to take over sales leadership for Lightpath as the company draws ever-closer to its customers, getting to the heart of each of their unique stories, what they need to thrive and the role that we can play in their success.”
