Cisco is looking to accommodate workers who must stay connected across devices, time zones and project teams.
As such, on Monday, the company introduced Project Squared, a free download for iOS, Android and Mac devices that works on Chrome, Firefox and Safari. When it comes to Firefox, voice and video plugins are not needed.
Project Squared is built on Cisco’s Collaboration Cloud. It combines chat, audio, video, multi-party meetings and content sharing into one experience. Cisco is asking early adopters to provide feedback as it adds new features and adjusts capabilities.
“We have lots of ideas on how to continue to enhance the Project Squared experience, and we’re on a mission to keep integrating with important business tools so that your rooms truly help you do your best work,” said Rowan Trollope, who runs the collaboration technology group at Cisco.
