Windstream says it will be more responsive to its channel partners, and provide faster, more reliable support, now that it has installed Sarah Day as senior vice president of SMB sales and marketing.
Day comes to the role from another Windstream division; she served as vice president of consumer marketing for more than two years. She has worked for Windstream since 2005, when it was still Alltel Wireless.
In her new position, Day will oversee all aspects – including sales, customer care and product marketing – of Windstream’s work with SMBs, the company said. Support will be centralized under Day, leading to the aforementioned increases in responsiveness and support.
“Bringing together the SMB sales and marketing organizations under [Day’s] able leadership will enable us to sharpen our focus on a very important channel for Windstream,” Jeff Gardner, president and CEO of Windstream, said in a prepared statement.
