WOW! Business, which is beefing up its channel program through the recent hiring of Ken Worcester, this week introduced its hosted VoIP services.
SMBs and enterprises in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio now have access to the platforms, which result in reduced capex and IT costs; come with a Web portal; and feature find-me/follow-me capabilities. Plus, WOW! Business delivers the hosted VoIP on its own local fiber loops.
“That means better call quality and reliability, and the bandwidth capacity to scale as needed,” said Dave Cunnison, voice services product director for WOW! Business.
WOW! Business already offers Ethernet access, SIP trunking, cloud computing and other services in parts of the Midwest and southeast. WOW! Business said the new hosted product complements a similar one available in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennesee.
WOW! Business is an offshoot of regional cable provider WOW!. The company also said this week it is upgrading its network with the help of infrastructure provider Alcatel-Lucent.
