The Alliance – which earlier this year rebranded from The Agent Alliance, to better reflect its inclusion of not just agents, but also VARs, MSPs, IT consultants and cloud specialists – on Monday announced its officers and board members for 2014-2015.

The roster features some new faces. For example, MicroCorp’s Fields is a new officer; she was elected to serve as secretary-treasurer, and further, she, along with Cloud Taskforce’s Sebestyen, has joined the executive committee for the first time.

“Our industry is standing on the brink of a huge moment,” The Alliance’s Power said. “Change and convergence are rocking partner business models – and offering huge opportunities. I couldn’t be happier with our leadership team, who I’m confident will steer the Alliance forward and provide just the guidance needed in a changing landscape.”

The Alliance’s plans for the coming year include continuing to increase its membership numbers and broaden its relationships with service providers.

“We are in a great position as a group to bring on one or two new strategic members this year,” said CarrierSales’ Murray, who serves as chairman of The Alliance. “No other group in the industry has the collective mind share and experience at one table to be able to offer a stabilizing voice combined with proven performance.”

In particular, The Alliance intends to continue embracing hosted and cloud platforms, and focusing on the intersection of IT and traditional telecom.

The Alliance was founded in 1997 as The Agent Alliance. It’s a corporation owned by 18 member agencies across the country.
