CLOUD PARTNERS Phone system and cloud service provider ESI (Booth 333) on Monday introduced its mobile application, Ditto, which mirrors the functionality of an ESI desk phone for on-the-go communication.
Available for both iOS and Android, ESI says the application provides a holistic approach for user connectivity with a streamlined user interface, customized for both tablet and mobile devices; visual voice mail with click-to-dial call-back functionality; and a sophisticated WiFi-to-cellular data handoff to maintain constant connection based on network availability.
Ditto joins the company’s broader portfolio of end-to-end cloud solutions, including SIP trunking, audio conferencing, CloudFax, and Abillity, which ESI calls a simple billing application that classifies the billable status of each phone call in seconds.
Also new from ESI are additional features for its cloud PBX solution, including live peer-to-peer chat with directory contacts; an enhanced user interface with an intuitive flow of features and functions; and the ability to customize desktop phone buttons from the web-based dashboard with simple drag-and-drop functionality – eliminating the need for cumbersome star codes or complex programming from the desktop phone.
“As BYOD trends continue to impact the workplace, we’re excited to bring the simplicity of ESI’s solution to our users’ mobile devices with ESI Ditto,” said George Platt, ESI’s chief executive officer. “Combined with Cloud PBX, Ditto empowers users enabling them to communicate from anywhere whether in the office or on-the-go.”
