Cellular Optimization, or Cell Ops, said this week that it now is the managed mobility service provider for master agency Communications Management Services.
At the same time, Cell Ops is using CMS for wireless carrier activations.
The deal comes as a result of the companies’ membership in The Alliance, a consortium of 18 channel partners, and because Mike Saxby now is vice president at Cell Ops, and Cell Ops’ sister company Advantage Communications Group. Saxby joined Advantage/Cell Ops from CMS.
“This relationship developed as a result of the caring and sharing within the Alliance,” Saxby said. “With our managed mobility services we were performing the same tasks, having similar exponential growth, and decided that we would be significantly more successful together. Additionally, Cellular Optimization owns intellectual property that appears unmatched in the industry delivering greater results to customers.”
David Gardner, president of Advantage and Cellular Optimization, agreed.
“This is just the first inning for managed mobility services,” he said. “We are seeing greater than 100 percent year-over-year growth and believe that growth is sustainable.”
Cell Ops provides services including optimization, procurement/MACD, inventory management, reporting, device management and more for enterprise mobile environments. Cell Ops partners including BCM, Eclipse Telecom and ATC all say working with the company has saved their customers significant amounts of money.
