WAV Inc., a distributor that specializes in technologies including wireless broadband, networking and IP video surveillance, has added Huawei’s enterprise products to its lineup.
The companies said this week that Illinois-based WAV will stock and sell Huawei’s networking, UC&C, storage, IT and eLTE broadband trunking gear. WAV will distribute those platforms through its public safety, WISP and enterprise resellers in North America.
“Our customers are in constant need of outdoor wireless, networking and WLAN solutions,” said Norm Dumbroff, president and CEO of WAV, in a press release. Plus, he said, “adding the eLTE solution will give our VAR partners and solution providers opportunities to break into new markets.”
WAV differentiates itself from other distributors by offering partner services including trade-in/trade-up, FCC license coordination, staging and configuration, and site surveys and installation.
For its part, Huawei is making headway among distributors in the United States, despite recent concerns from the feds that the China-based company poses a threat to national security. Last year, Huawei stated its intent to ramp up its focus on enterprise customers, citing the revenue potential among these users.
