Santa Clara, California-based Vertical Communications has unveiled the latest product in its line of unified communications (UC) solutions for businesses.
Vertical says the new Vertical Summit communications system offers comprehensive IP telephony features, voice applications and mobile-device integration designed to serve the unique needs of sophisticated small business customers.
“Small businesses have sophisticated needs but will not tolerate technology complexity and high upfront or ongoing costs of ownership,” said Peter Bailey, chief executive officer at Vertical. “The Summit’s attractive price point, ease of deployment, ease of management and use, and strong feature set make it a uniquely valuable solution for small businesses seeking to leverage today’s cutting edge communications technologies.”
Vertical Summit is scalable from five to 140 users. It can be networked to accommodate up to 250 locations. The Summit platform leverages an optimized IP/TDM hybrid architecture to give smaller organizations more flexibility to interface with any network, as well as the tools to grow their businesses with features and applications, Vertical said.
Among those features are the Summit Communicator, a built-in mobility application that extends premises-based communications capabilities to users’ iOS and Android devices through a SIP-based softphone.; IP Attendant for Office, an intuitive, integrated software client for streamlining call handling and routing functions; and the Summit Wireless DECT System, a secure, in-building wireless communication solution to increase employee productivity, mobility, reaction time and safety.
Vertical Communications, which sells through channel partners, provides UC and IP telephony solutions and services to enterprise and business customers throughout North America and Europe.
