Michael Gough has joined Nitel as the company’s first-ever channel chief.
Agents will recognize Gough from his years at Cbeyond, PAETEC and Cavalier, among other telecom companies.
This week, Nitel said it has named Gough as director of channel sales, filling the new role of “channel chief” for the connectivity services reseller.
“Michael is an experienced leader who will deepen our current partnerships while building for the future,” said Rick Stern, CEO of Nitel. “His positive outlook and contagious energy inspire everyone he works with.”
Gough comes to Nitel from Cbeyond, where he had been serving as regional vice president – indirect. He also served as vice president of North America channel sales for 10n2 Technologies, was vice president of the national partner program after Windstream bought PAETEC, and led channel efforts at Cavalier before PAETEC purchased that provider.
Gough also served in the United States Coast Guard and is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
At Nitel, Gough said he aims to “strengthen our relationships with top master agents while ensuring that we have programs and support in place to help agents of all types succeed.”
