Yorktel, a provider of UC&C, cloud and video managed services, has closed on the purchase of two companies: Expedite VCS and MultiSense Communications Ltd.
The financial terms were not disclosed as Yorktel is privately held. Yorktel bought both companies last month.
“Adding resources from service providers like Expedite and Multisense, with which Yorktel shares operational and strategic synergies, enhances our ability to increase market share and to meet the communications needs of our diverse portfolio of global customers,” said Ron Gaboury, CEO of Yorktel. “Both companies have a demonstrated expertise in target vertical markets, such as healthcare and government, and we welcome the opportunity to add their respective ingenuity and innovative spirit to Yorktel.”
Expedite provides voice and video managed services for customers throughout the world. Its clients include organizations in distance learning, government, corporate, telejustice and telemedicine. MultiSense, meanwhile, is a top Polycom partner specializing in the health care market in Europe.
“Videoconferencing, unified communications and collaboration solutions are being adopted in government and Fortune 500 enterprises worldwide at a staggering pace, and the opportunity to penetrate new markets in the coming years is almost limitless,” Gaboury said.
