TechAmerica Foundation this week released a Cloud Buyer’s Guide for the Federal Government, which is designed to assist departments and agencies with their transition to cloud-based service models, a strategic priority for federal government under its Cloud First initiative.
The guide, which is available at http://www.techamericafoundation.org/research, highlights industry best practices and case studies to provide guidance on successful implementation models and a clear path for adopting cloud services.
The report outlines a series of recommendations, including:
“We are excited to provide the federal government with this new report to help them learn from industry,” said Mike Hettinger, senior vice president, TechAmerica’s public sector group. “As the federal government adopts and provides new tools and technology for its workforce, they can take advantage of the tech industry’s experience gleaned from the transition in the private sector.”
TechAmerica is the public sector and public policy division of CompTIA, advocating before decision-makers at the state, federal and international levels of government. Launched in 1981, the TechAmerica Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-partisan affiliate of TechAmerica.
