Master agency SOVA Inc. has earned its place as a Platinum member in the Verizon Partner Program.
About a year ago, Verizon restructured its channel approach, with channel chief Janet Schijns declaring agents and VARs as “the critical go-to-market.” Verizon instituted tiers – Silver, Gold and Platinum – as part of those changes. SOVA is among the first agents to attain Platinum status.
Pennsylvania-based SOVA has been a Verizon agent since 1994 (the Bell Atlantic days). It earned Platinum status this month, based on sales volume and other criteria determined by Verizon.
Overall, the designation means SOVA earns the highest commissions and gets access to top support; for subagents, this also means higher commissions and more benefits, SOVA said. SOVA partners may sell Verizon’s full portfolio, including voice and data, cloud, wireless, managed Internet and VoIP.
“It’s a very exciting time for our agent program,” said Gene Esopi, president of SOVA.
