Cloud services provider Intermedia now offers email archiving as a standalone product, rather than just as part of its hosted Exchange solution.
That means any business can comply with government regulations, whether their email is hosted by Microsoft Office 365, Google Mail or on- or off-premises Microsoft Exchange, IBM Notes, GroupWise, IMail, Scalix, or Zimbra environments.
Intermedia said the platform gives partners a way to start provisioning cloud services to clients.
“Many of my customers are interested in the benefits of the cloud, but not quite ready to migrate off their on-premises email server,” said Peter Hanna, founder of Texas-based Robo 6k. “With a standalone email archiving offering, I can protect their businesses while setting the stage for future managed services around Intermedia’s cloud services with no integration headaches when they take the next steps.”
Intermedia said its email archiving complies with rules including ERPA, FRCP, SOC, SE and, HIPAA. Companies that don’t meet these standards, and that are supposed to, can face high fines (hundreds of thousands, or even millions, of dollars) for lack of compliance.
Intermedia’s Email Archiving product lets customers scale on a per-user basis, allows for rapid onboarding, features easy-to-use search-and-retrieve functionality, and stores eight copies of data across multiple data centers.
As with other Intermedia services, partners manage Email Archiving from their Intermedia portal.
