Resellers targeting the education vertical now can deploy and manage Google products and services through distributor SYNNEX Corp.
SYNNEX and Google have teamed to allow SYNNEX to specialize in the Google Chrome environment, which includes networks, network security, bandwidth, accessories and Chromebooks from Acer, HP, Lenovo and Samsung.
“K-12 education is a focus for our public sector initiative in 2014 and the addition of Chrome Management Console will play a big part,” said Eddie Franklin, vice president, sales, public sector and vertical markets for SYNNEX. “In addition to offering a turnkey solution around Chrome, solution providers can manage this business through SYNNEX’s Chrome-specific CLOUDSolv marketplace. This tool provides order entry and decision support, allowing solution providers to deliver solutions customized for specific school district needs.”
Taking part in the SYNNEX Chrome Community gives partners access to integration facilities in the United States and Canada, and lets them offer professional services. For example, with Chrome Management Console, solution providers can create user groups, pre-install and block apps, track assets, manage user access, control network access and customize user features without having to touch each device.
On the SYNNEX side, the distributor provides pre-sales consultation to its partners and their school-district customers, and offers ongoing end-user tech support for teachers and administrators. Further, the distributor conducts on-site teacher training to show educators how to understand the technology and incorporate it into their curricula.
