Cloud provider Fusion has closed its acquisition of Broadvox’s cloud business.
Fusion announced in September that it would buy the Broadvox assets for $32.1 million. The deal closed on Dec. 31, Fusion said on Jan. 6.
The company told Channel Partners in September it would assume the agent agreements and other components of Dallas-based Broadvox’s retail cloud business. Broadvox confirmed that its post-sale plans were to be a wholesale-only provider.
Fusion is integrating the Broadvox assets into its NBS Business Services division, which was formed following the purchase of Network Billing Systems in Fall 2012. Fusion said it now serves 5,800 business customers whose average revenue per user totals more than $450, and sells through more than 300 active partners. The company also added almost 100 employees to its sales, marketing and support divisions thanks to the Broadvox deal.
