Cloud communications provider 8×8 Inc. is buying Voicenet Solutions in the U.K. for $18.4 million in cash.
The deal will bolster 8×8’s UC strategy, particularly among larger clients. It also allows 8×8 to support U.S. customers with multinational offices.
“The acquisition of Voicenet clearly demonstrates the execution of our international expansion strategy as well as our move up-market,” said Vik Verma, CEO of 8×8.
Voicenet said it serves more than 1,000 business customers.
The transaction is expected to close by the end of the year.
