As part of its channel expansion for 2014, Amazon Web Services is adding three new partner competencies that address SAP, Oracle and Microsoft applications on the AWS cloud.

There now are six competencies and AWS partners may apply for all six if they like. AWS requires its partners to demonstrate proficiency in a specific specialization or use case. Those partners then help customers plan, implement, migrate, and manage a specific platform on the AWS cloud.

Here are the six competencies:

  • SharePoint: for partners overseeing customers’ Microsoft SharePoint environments on the AWS clou
  • Exchange: for partners overseeing Microsoft Exchange Server workloads on the AWS cloud
  • SAP: for partners helping SAP customers implement, migrate, and manage SAP applications on the AWS cloud
  • Oracle: for partners overseeing Oracle workloads on the AWS cloud
  • Big Data: for partners who help customers evaluate and use data
  • Managed Service Provider: for partners who fully manage their customers AWS-based infrastructure, associated databases and applications on AWS
