Intelisys, a carrier and cloud services distributor, announced this week that it has hired channel veteran Ruth Morford to join its channel management team as senior manager of strategic VAR partner development for the East Region.
Morford brings 20 years of experience to her new role. Most recently, she spent three years as director of channel sales for telecom master agency PlanetOne. Prior to that, she was a channel manager at ACC Business for eight years during which time she was a Circle of Excellence winner and was named one of the Top 15 Channel Managers by readers of Channel Partners in 2007. Morford began her telecom career at Cable & Wireless. She has a bachelors degree in business administration from James Madison University.
In her new role, Morford will recruit and develop prospective VARs and IT solution providers in the Eastern U.S., assisting them in building dedicated cloud and carrier services practices, and aligning them with existing Intelisys sales partners where appropriate.
Morford, who is based in Bradenton, Fla., will report to Rick Ribas, vice president of partners sales and business development for the East Region.
