Five-year-old Druva, which provides enterprise endpoint and mobility data protection, has hired its first-ever channel chief to expand the company’s partner program.
Steve McChesney comes to Druva from F5 Networks, where he worked in channel management and sales. He has worked in technology for 25 years, holding senior roles at Adara Networks, Venture2.com, Photozone.com and Visio Corp. As Druva’s vice president of business development, McChesney will oversee global distribution channels and forge new reseller partnerships.
McChesney’s appointment comes as Druva last month secured another $25 million in private funding, and this year signed customers including UC Berkeley, Sephora and Horace Mann. Druva created the inSync suite; its capabilities include automated endpoint backup, IT-managed file sharing and audit trails. inSync can be deployed in a private or public cloud or on-premise.
