Washington Navy Yard Gunman Was HP Subcontractor

Aaron Alexis, the Washington Navy Yard shooter, previously worked as a contractor in information technology.

A spokesperson for Hewlett-Packard confirmed to The New York Times that Alexis had worked for a company called The Experts, a provider of IT, engineering, telecom and business-process solutions. The Experts is a subcontractor for HP Enterprise Services contract.

Alexis went on a shooting rampage on Sept. 16, injuring eight and killing 12 before being shot and killed by police officers.
