MegaPath has launched “any-to-any” Broadband Managed Failover services that are designed to complement its Wireless Managed Failover service released in June.
MegaPath says its Managed Failover services provide customers with a high-availability, cost-effective business-continuity solution for maintaining critical business operations in the event that their primary data connection is disrupted.
Managed Failover gives businesses the flexibility to select the backup service best suited for them, including wireless (3G, 4G and LTE depending on availability), Ethernet, T1, DSL and cable. The fully automated services use customer-premises equipment (CPE) to actively monitor primary and backup broadband connections. If there’s an outage, the CPE instantly detects the circuit disruption and initiates failover. At the same time, MegaPaths Proactive Monitoring service detects that the primary circuit is down and initiates the troubleshooting and repair process within MegaPaths network operations center (NOC). Once the primary service is restored, the customers service automatically reverts back to the primary circuit.
In todays data-driven business environment, businesses require resilient, redundant network solutions that allow them to remain operational in the event of a primary circuit outage,” said Dan Foster, president, business markets, MegaPath.
MegaPaths Managed Failover services are designed for high-availability, with service level agreements (SLAs) that guarantee 100 percent service availability for a primary MegaPath T1 and Ethernet circuit when failover is present.
MegaPath sells through channel partners.
