Trend Micro Makes Midmarket a Key Focus

More of Trend Micro Inc.’s partners want to hone in on the midmarket.

So, the security software maker has enhanced its channel program to give VARs and MSPs more streamlined access to its cloud and data center security product, Deep Security. To that end, changes include the following:

  • Deal Registration: A program that provides access to more qualified sales, simplifies margin structure and streamlines registration.
  • Specialization Program: Partners earn additional margin for establishing expertise in specific focus areas, including the midmarket and Trend Micro platforms such as Deep Security.
  • On-Demand Marketing Program: An online marketing tool that lets eligible partners engage customers via co-branded emails, Web content and more.

Deep Security guards against data breaches and business disruptions for physical, virtual and cloud servers. It’s an all-in-one platform that integrates anti-malware, web reputation and firewall, plus intrusion prevention, integrity monitoring and log inspection to protect applications and data.

Until now, though, Trend Micro had mostly focused its Deep Security partner efforts on the enterprise.

That’s changing.

“Mid-market companies present a tremendous business opportunity for our channel partners and we want to support them with one of the most innovative and reliable security solutions available,” said Partha Panda, vice president of U.S. channel sales for Trend Micro.
