NetCarrier Inc., a Philadelphia-based hosted PBX provider and CLEC, has released a unified communications platform it says is priced for SMBs.
The product, nCloud, “gives the SMB owner all of the features of the enterprise products, without cost-prohibitive licensing that usually follows,” said Bruce Wirt, nCloud vice president of sales and director of NetCarrier.
Because of that pricing competitiveness, NetCarrier expects nCloud to go up against larger rivals, taken to market through VARs throughout the United States.
nCloud contains business collaboration tools that NetCarrier developed with the help of eZuce Inc., a company that builds open-source communications systems for enterprises. Capabilities include desktop collaboration that integrates with the phone system. NetCarrier provides around-the-clock, stateside tech support.
NetCarrier was founded in the mid-1990s as a CLEC and dial-up alternative to AOL. The company now positions itself as a national provider of hosted PBX.
