ShoreTel has released the latest version of its mobility software, Mobility 7, and a new piece of equipment that turns mobile devices into desk phones.
Mobility 7 works with both ShoreTel’s on-premise and hosted UC platforms, with Microsoft OCS and Lync Instant Messaging and Presence Servers, and with SIP-supported IP PBXs from Avaya and Cisco.
Changes include a redesigned user interface and easier integration for iPhone and Android users. On top of that, Mobility 7 lets users turn their iOS smartphones or tablets into a desk phone with the new ShoreTel Dock. Further, Mobility 7 now works with ShoreTel conferencing; for example, users can switch to the presentation view with one click, providing both audio and visual participation. There’s also personal dial support that lets non-business calls go through with the cellular caller ID through the ShoreTel Mobility app.
Mobility 7 and the ShoreTel Dock are available now.
