Cloud communications provider Momentum has purchased the assets of one of its wholesale VoIP partners, Twist Networks.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed; however, because Twist was a subsidiary of Communications Technologies Inc. (CTI), Momentum said it now holds a retail VAR agreement with CTI.
Among other products, CTI sells IP and traditional PBX systems; it will pair its platforms with Momentum’s cloud communications services. The partnership “will help us grow our SIP trunk and hosted business,” said Robert Hymes, president of CTI.
Momentum said its retail VAR team has nearly tripled over the past 12 months. The company bought CommPartners in 2011.
