Cloud partner Burstorm, which uses software to help customers evaluate and select and optimize cloud infrastructure services, announced that it has expanded its leadership team with the appointment of an executive vice president of sales covering the East Coast of the United States and spearheading the company’s entry into Latin America.
Burstorm has tapped Leopoldo Toro, the former CIO of Burstorm customer Grupo Posadas, for the job. Toro led the Latin American hotel operator’s migration from five disparate data centers to a cloud service model. Before his post in an enterprise, Toro worked on the vendor side as managing director for AltiusPAR Solutions, a software-as-a-service firm delivering integrated offerings to hospitality and property management customers.
Based on his first-hand experience, Toro said that Burstorms pioneering combination of SaaS enterprise applications and cloud consulting services enables companies to select the optimal cloud solution and document architectural decisions along the way.”
Burstorm CEO Brandon Abbey said that he got to know Toro not only as a Burstorm’s customer but as a “world-class technologist and individual.”
Leveraging Toro’s experience to expand into Latin America was an easy decision, Abbey said, noting the growing adoption of cloud computing in the region. “We are already seeing the extensive network of enterprise clients and partners investing in strategic relationships to make a large impact in the market,” he said.
